Advice on getting my boy to mount me

I've had my boy since January. He's 5, and intact. Very first night he was with me, I got down on all fours, and he mounted me on two occasions, but didn't get the right angle, but I was still thrilled because I was thinking I've got a lot more of this to look forward to. These days, he'll mount my arm for a handie, but doesn't seem up for mounting me for actual sex.

I think it's a dominance thing. He was a working sheepdog, and humping was a way to express dominance in the kennels. I've seen springer girls humping each other to put each other in their place. So I'm thinking that since he's got to know me, he's started to think of me as the alpha, and you don't mount the alpha. Actually, even when my springer girl was in heat recently, when she was pestering him, flagging, all that noise, all I ever saw him do was swing a leg over her a couple of times, but, again, I think he thinks she's my bitch and off-limits.

Obviously he's my boy and I love him anyway, I don't want to use him as a sex toy and if it never happens, I'm fine with that.

But does anyone have any tips for training a quite submissive dog to mount them? To let them know that while I might be the alpha, I'd quite like their cock?

Maybe let him "walk all over you" while you lay back in the recliner, or some fun like that to build "disrespectful" familiarity?
My dog was also "too good" in this sense. When he was almost four, I resorted to manhandling him up onto my back and massaging his knot. Far from ideal, but after a few such sessions he actually did get the idea. Definitely a "your mileage may vary" answer...

I think deep spooning might be an answer, just letting him get comfy with me in a good position then get his motor going enough for him to do me as a start?
