Advice on dogs getting the chop

I didn't know what to call this or really where to start but I'll try sorry if this is in the wrong section it's my first post so I'm not 100% anyway, my mother and the rest of my family have always been the type to give dogs the snip and my mother is a huge advocate of that she doesn't understand why people would'nt because in her eyes it makes the dogs calmer and less aggressive but when I move out and get a dog I'm obviously not going to snip him because that's not what I would want to happen to me, anyone got any advice for me for when I get questioned about why I have agreed with her my whole life but when I suddenly get a dog I'm against turning him into a unic

There is a couple of threads on castration here that may have some points for you. Try searching for spay, neuter, vasectomy, castration.
My excuse is that castration influences physical and mental development and I do not want to change my dog. Or that those balls have a role in the organism and therefore have a reason to be there and unless there is a serious reason to remove them, they will stay there. Physically modifying my dog out of convenience is out of the question. Keeping a male dog from making puppies is not that hard if you know what you are doing. And so on. :D

when i get asked (which is not that often) i just say that i'm not a fan of cutting into my dogs without medical reason... as @pes stated, it's not that hard to keep a male dog from making pups
