a version of the word slut that doesn't have a negative connotation?

So, I'm not an English native, but, searching about it, it seems like this word has a very negative connotation. When you say the word slut, referring to someone, it means that this person has casual sex AND that it is bad. It means that she is repugnant, or that she will go to hell or some conservative bullshit like this.

But, I think that having casual sex with many different people, of different sexes, and/or animals isn't a repugnant thing; quite the opposite. I think that this is an admirable act of rebellion against all of this stupid dogma that corrupts our society. Having free sex is a powerful statement, one that shows that you are rational enough to be free from all of this stupid conservative bullshit.

So, is there any word in English that is like slut, but shows admiration instead of repulse? If there is none, we really should make one up.

Depends how you were brought up and how you see life now. Ive allways loved sluts and wanted to marry one but all i got was bitch.
Slut to me is a free loving caring compassionate horny fuck toy that anyone can enjoy. We need more. I want my wife to be availible for others to enjoy.
 
Slut means a few different things depending on the context. Ranging from someone you're mad at and implying they sleep with anyone to slutty free use girlfriends who never say no to their partners and they both love it. Context is everything.
 
For my opinion: There is no such thing as a "not-negative" use of the word slut - EVER, under ANY circumstances. Argue amongst yourselves all you like that sometimes it can be good. I'll never agree with you. To me, it is, and always will be, no matter what, a put-down, a slam, a jab, a derogatory insult.

Nope.....the word is an older version of the word 'slot' and likely this usage dates from Chaucer's day. In that sense its the Thirteenth Century version of "cum dump", and probably was a Sailor's word that came to mean something they were always thinking about at sea. Synonyms today might be kitten, kittycat, pussycat, or sweet meat, but PLEASE not WAP. That's even less-complimentary- sounding than twat. A word which would have had similar connotations in some circles when I was a kid is " Short", and another from the time was "Ginch". That one, tho, would've been on the QT, because it appeared in a pop tune sung by a guy who was trying to be a squeaky clean Elvis. The one charted hit he had ended with the line, " BABY, you're the Ginchiest!"
 
Slut = whore, there's no positive way to twist that.

I suppose Nympho would have a similar meaning if you're looking for "woman who love sex" without it turning into "bitch who sleeps with anyone who looks at her without even knowing them".
 
Nympho, or the whole word" Nymphomaniac" has VERY negative connotations, and rightly. First, as a psychology term, since it has NO counterpart in terms describing any male sexual behavior, and in the more common usages of the last seven decades or so. Anytime a male will use a word with other males that he won't use in the presence of women, you can be sure it has negative connotations.
 
So many opinions, here, of sluts and the word "slut." Even a few "definitions" of what a slut and a nympho are, some of them held up as being written by so-called "experts" who, alas, have nothing but their own opinions.
Some of you even seem to harbor such hate for sluts, you're ready to form a posse to go hunt for them and burn them at the stake.

Now I kinda want to use WAP just because it makes people uncomfortable haha! Civilizations have been created and destroyed in the pursuit of a WAP. The WAP holds great power! All hail the WAP!

Still sounds really tacky though lol. Not something I’d use in most conversations

Not me, ma'am....some of my best friends in life might have been sluts in other eyes. Fact is, I've used that word to describe ME often enough. If you notice that posse forming, let me know....I can think of a couple of good ways to disperse it....

Gotta ask though, since you dont seem to like definitions a lot.....do you know what a "cunt-splice" is?

Does it not just mean getting fucked by multiple people and can be a man or a woman. What is the difference between a slut and whore?

A slut is a whore who is not in the Whore Union. If you want really good sex, you don't call a slut. You call a qualified union whore.

Never heard the term, "cunt-splice." Sounds as though it could be another name for tribbing, maybe?
 
I'm very happy to be called either. I can't deny that I am a slut ( a woman who has many casual sexual partners ). I can't deny that I am a whore ( a woman who has many casual sexual encounters or relationships).

Whore can be used as a substitute for prostitute but isn't just used in such a way.
