A question of ethics?

Zooville Settler
Hello everyone.
I've been thinking of a hypothetical scenario for the future if I am to get horses of my own.
So, to begin with, I'd like to have exactly two, one male and one female because it's more than enough to enjoy all the unique traits of each as well as for each of them to accompany each other.
Now the issue is the following:
If I wanted to let the stallion mount and breed the mare whenever the time for that comes, but I don't want them to have any foals (at least for a while), here's the main doubt I have:
Would it be ethical to maybe get a vet to have the stallion get a vasectomy?
That way he could go on the mare and just fuck her without any issue besides just not getting her pregnant but would that be a bad choice?
I'll gladly hear what y'all have to say on this.

In case it's not such a bad thing (if bad at all) would be an interesting scenario as besides being perfect for sloppy seconds without risk of the stallion's cum getting the mare pregnant, another question that arises in this case is
would the horse couple being able to just have sex as much times as they want without having to worry about foals and all change their relationship/behaviour in some way? if so, which? would it be mild or noticeable? would it be good or bad?

Sorry for the stupid amount of questions for such a small weird scenario but I'm sure it's the right place to find some answers to this whole thing.
Cheers.

I don't think it'd be unethcal, but might be difficult to find a vet willing to do so. Might be some odd questions, so I'd consider thinking about alternate reasons why you'd want that. Then I would think about all the questions a vet might ask on why you'd want that over neutering; your answer might well be, "Because I'm paying you $XXX to do a thing", but I'd at least be prepared for the questions and have considered your responses and what that might mean for the vet.

I doubt it would have any effect on them, it's not like most aniimals (humans included) have sex to make offspring, it's just a result of unprotected sex.

For some, when neutered after fully developing they can retain sexual desire, but it's not a guarantee.

It's hard to judge how much someone knows basd on a post, that said....
It sounds like you don't have much experience around horses, so you might want to remedy that before you get your own.
