Didn't we discuss how many people now have paw print tattoos, which can mean zoo or just that they like dogs? Going up to someone with a paw print and assume they're zoo could get you in a bunch of trouble. This idea is worse than that.

Seems like a pretty bad idea, it's way too obvious. The closest I've considered is somehow attaching a real diamond to my girls collar, since she's essentially my wife. She wouldn't care, obviously, but it would be a fun way to covertly express my feelings. People "bling" their dogs collars all the time, after all, and people would just think it was fake. Nobody would bat an eye.

Whatever suggestion someone comes up with to "identify" our community it will get spread to those who are, shall we say, just mildly opposed to it. Understand the reasons to show to others your preferences but it would almost certainly end badly.
