The character of Bagheera was most definitely written and depicted in film as male. Ben Kingsley voiced him in the latest adaptation. You might be thinking of Mowgli's wolf mother Raksha. I'd definitely have sex with her too.

I was thinking on Kippling's version, where Bagheera was a female black leopard raised in captivity, chained in a cage, who had an odd kink for humans, mix of hate and respect, and definitely a deep love for Mowgly.

But Disney... Hard to say if animals are male or fenale except for the eyelashes ?
I remember I saw the film as a kid and took me many years to give the original book a chance.

Why does it seem like *EVERYBODY* who draws critters makin' whoopie (whether or not a human is involved) always seem so keen on putting an expression on them that I've only ever seen on somebody so drunk that they're about a tenth of a second from actually puking???
